Programs Overview

Students have the opportunity to apply their knowledge to develop critical thinking and collaboration skills by solving real-life problems, both open-ended and those carefully crafted by education experts.

We do learning differently

In most other elementary classrooms you will typically find the daily schedule divided into a math block and a larger reading block, with lunch, recess, and maybe an enrichment class thrown in. The learning is guided mainly by textbooks or worksheets, coming from various uncoordinated sources, and teaching is focused on learning a “skill of the week” with lecture-style instruction and independent student work.

However, we do learning differently. Our curriculum is organized around themes and topics rather than only skills in all of our content areas. We teach Science and Social Studies to all of our students through an engaging curriculum that allows students to explore their areas of interest and challenges them at their ability level. Our students are given the opportunity to solve real-world problems collaboratively, developing their critical and creative thinking skills.

It’s no surprise that our students are highly engaged and are enthusiastic about coming to school to learn every day!
